Who is responsible
Batchillo (batchillo.com) is a personal project run by Miguel Moreno, a private individual in Portugal, who is the controller of the data described here.

What we keep
Without an account, everything stays in your browser (local storage) and is never sent to us.
- Account: your email address (to sign in with a magic link).
- Household members: name or nickname, date of birth or age, sex for the calculation, weight, height, activity level, goal and target weight, excluded foods and preferences.
- Planning: menus, recipes you write or import (with photos), your own ingredients, shopping lists, prep progress and weight entries.
- Minimal technical data needed to run and secure the service (for example IP addresses in server logs, for a short time).
Why, and on what basis
We don't sell data, don't show ads and don't use your data for marketing profiles.
- Working out each person's calories, protein and portions, and generating menus, shopping lists and the prep session: performing the service you asked for.
- Weight, height, age and goals can reveal health information. We process them only with your explicit consent, given when you create the account; you can withdraw it by deleting the data or the account.
- Security and abuse prevention: legitimate interest.
Where it is stored and who helps us
These providers process data only on our behalf. When any data leaves the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
- Supabase (database and sign-in), servers in the European Union (Frankfurt).
- Cloudflare (website hosting, file delivery, cookieless visit statistics and reading imported recipes).
- Resend (sending sign-in emails).
Cookies and local storage
Batchillo uses no advertising or tracking cookies. It uses your browser's local storage to keep your week, recipes and sign-in session. Cloudflare's visit statistics use no cookies.
How long
We keep the data while you have an account. When you delete the account, the data is removed from the database immediately and from backups within 30 days.
Your rights
You can view, correct, export (as JSON) and delete your data in Account → Sign-in and sync. You can also ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability, or object to processing, at ola@batchillo.com. We answer within one month.
You can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt), or to the authority where you live.
Age
Batchillo is meant for adults (18 or over). The automatic calculations only apply between ages 19 and 78.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
